GUARDIAN HOME PROGRAM

Becoming a Guardian Home is a great opportunity for those who want a Bernedoodle but are not wanting to pay the price for one. Those who choose this option will get a dog, of the breeders choosing, at no cost. The dog will be your family dog with the exception of when they are ready to breed. For female dogs they will have 3-5 litters starting when they are around a year and a half old. The female will return to the breeders home when she is ready to have her puppies, she will remain in our home for the whelping of the puppies, then she will return to her Guardian Family until the next litter.

 

A male dog will be used as a stud for the first six years of his life. He will never have to leave the Guardian Home for more then a few hours to breed. The amount of breedings will depend on the dog.

 

Once your dog is finished with their breeding contract we will pay to have your dog fixed and they will be your family pet for the remainder of their life.

We are very picky with who we select to become a Guardian Home. We care very much about our dogs and want them to be in a stable home with a reliable income. The owners must own their home and be staying on island for the next few years. A house visit with the dog will be required before any decision is made. We are open to people with a variety of lifestyles and family situations but we do want  someone who will be responsible and will follow the conditions outlined in our Guardian Home Contract.
