ADOPTION PROCESS
Start to Finish
We have two waitlists, one is for people wanting a Standard/Medium (>40lbs) size puppy and the other is for people wanting Mini/Micro (<40lbs) size. To be added to a waitlist please fill out our Puppy Application. After we have reviewed your application we will reach out to you via email. To be added to a waitlist it is a $500 deposit. Once added to the waitlist you will remain until you take a puppy home.
Once a mom is confirmed pregnant via ultrasound we will send out a newsletter announcing the pregnancy. After the puppies are born we will inform the top people on the waitlist that they will be getting a puppy from the litter. If there are eight puppies born we will inform the top eight people on the waitlist that they will be getting a puppy from the litter. The order of the waitlist will be the order of puppy picks. If you pass on the litter and hold off you will remain on the waitlist.
Once the puppies are about five weeks old we will do puppy visits. Everyone getting a puppy from the litter can come and meet the puppies. It is important that you visit the litter before choosing a puppy. We believe temperament is more important then looks and want each person to meet all the puppies before choosing which one best fits their lifestyle.
We spend a lot of time with the dogs and do temperament testing so we will be able to give you recommendations on which dogs will be the best fit for you. Because this is so important to us you must visit the litter before reserving a puppy. We prefer in person visits, however, virtual visits are available for those who are unable to come in person.
Once the puppies are 7 weeks old we do puppy picks. Your order on the waitlist will be the order of puppy picks. At no point will you be forced to take a puppy. If it’s your pick and you don’t connect with any of the remaining puppies you are more then welcome to move to the next litter. We never want someone to feel like they are stuck with a puppy they don’t want.
Your puppy will be ready to go home once they are eight weeks old. We will set up a time when you can come and pick up your puppy. The deposit will go towards the total price of your dog and the remaining amount is due upon pick up. If you live on a different island and are flying here to pick up your puppy we can meet you at the airport if needed. If you have any special requests please reach out to us and we will do our best to accommodate you.
OUR PUPPIES
Everything to know about your puppy
All our puppies are raised in our home using the Puppy Culture Program. This means they will receive early neurological stimulation, get constant attention, be exposed to loud noises and have a large variety of different experiences. We go above and beyond in raising these dogs. They will have a jump start on training and will be much easier to train then a dog that was not raised on a curriculum. We make sure that they are well socialized and feel comfortable in any environment. This makes the transition to your home much easier. Please research Puppy Culture to see all the lifelong benefits that come from following such a rigorous program.
Our puppies come with a three year genetic health guarantee. This means if your dog has a genetic health problem we will refund you the full amount you paid for your dog. All parents we breed have DNA testing and are clear of testable genetic diseases. Their hips have also been tested through OFA and PennHip. We also test their elbows, patellas, eyes and heart though OFA. Health is very important to us and we know how heart breaking it is to have a sick dog. We do everything in our power to ensure that the dogs we produce have the best chance at a long and healthily life.
Temperament is also important to us. We do our best to pair our dogs personalities to complement each other. Our goal is well rounded puppies. Because we spend every waking moment with your dog for their first eight weeks of life we have a pretty good idea of who they are. We try our best to articulate their individual strengths and weaknesses so that we can work with you on choosing a dog that will succeed with your lifestyle. Temperament testing will also be preformed to give you a unbiased perspective on each puppy before you decide which one is best for you.
We offer lifelong breeder support. We want your dog to be the best they can be and we are a resource to you for the life of you dog. Please feel comfortable to reach out with any questions or concerns.
All puppies will have their first round of puppy shots and be dewormed, microchipped, and will go home with a wellness check from a vet and a puppy care package stuffed with things to make the transition to their new home a little bit easier. You will have lifetime support from us. If you ever have any questions or problems please reach out. We love getting puppy updates and seeing all their adventures.
If for any reason you are thinking of rehoming your dog please reach out to us and we can help you find a solution. We understand that sometimes rehoming is necessary and if that is the case then we will gladly take back your dog without judgement. We do not want any of the dogs we produce to end up in a shelter or be resold into a bad situation. To prevent this we have a strict no rehoming clause in our contract. All dogs that need to be rehomed will come back to us with open arms and we will decide what is best for the dogs future.
All of our puppies will be going home as pets, no breeders. Our goal is to produce high quality dogs that will live long and healthy lives as your companion. We do not support the poor breeding practices that many doodles breeders have. Although many have good intentions, very few put in the time, energy and money that it takes to ensure the dogs they produce meet the high standard of health and temperament that all breeders should have. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing someone elses intentions, or if they will stick to their word. To be safe we only sell our dogs as pets. All puppies sold will need to be fixed between 14-16 months of age. We require your vet to send us a certification of the spay/neuter that includes the microchip number of your dog.
